Open Positions

Volunteer Recruitment Co-ordinator

Type: Full Time – Permanent

Location: Newbury, Berkshire

As a Volunteer Recruitment Officer you will be responsible for understanding the needs of the volunteer and matching them to the right project and destination. We are looking for a proactive and innovative individual who is ambitious, multitalented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to bring a high degree of energy to the team and their role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Respond to online and telephone enquiries from potential volunteers
• Proactively call out enquirers to promote the GapGuru programmes.
• Take ownership of business results, delivering to targets
• Coordinate and represent GapGuru at exhibitions, fairs and other promotional events
• Analyse and report on activity undertaken.

Essential Skills:

• Graduate
• Pleasant outgoing personality, articulate and well spoken with a good command of the language and must have a positive 'can do' attitude.
• Able to relate with different customer groups to understand what they are looking for.
• Familiarity with Volunteering and travel – having taken a Gap Year and understanding the benefits it brings
